At Freeit, we’re passionate about giving back. Our base may be in Austin, but we consider the entire world our community. We’re all in this together! As a result, this year we donated over $22,000 in support of individuals and community organizations.
In 2019 we are proud to have supported or volunteered with the following organizations and individuals:
- The SAFE Alliance
- Urban Roots
- Zach Scott Theater
- Lonestar Curling Club
- Brooke Baker, pro golfer
- Austin SIM Annual Golf Tournament benefiting Code Longhorn Summer Camp.
- College Station CodeFest. Projects developed during the 24hr hackathon benefited the community of College Station, as well as the entire region.
- Bluebonnet Scholarship Golf Tournament. In 2019, Bluebonnet awarded $149,500 in scholarships to Central Texas students.
- Chuy’s Giving to Children Parade benefiting Operation Blue Santa. Toys collected during the parade are distributed to families in need during the holiday season.
- Run for the Water benefiting the Gazelle Foundation, a non-profit focused on improving the lives of citizens of Burundi, Africa, through the building of water systems.
In reflection 2019 has been an amazing year for us full of business and community growth. We are thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact in Austin, Central Texas, and the world.
